hi guys, how is everybody doing? i just thought i would check this place out. i like to have fun and meet a few new people. if you are not into drama, lies or games, hollar at me.

I'm a 23 year old college graduate currently doing master's work. I like football- especially college-, going to movies, dining out, playing video games, etc.. I'm a very laid-back kind of person except when I need to get something done. I'm smart, have a good sense of humor and very straight-forward and honest. My coworkers like to laugh at me because I can be scatter-brained at times. But, I think it's best someone meets me and gets to know me to get a better picture of who I am. Afterall, talking online only gets you so far. I do admit that sometimes I'm not the best at picking conversation topic. So be warned, if you leave it up to me, expect to hear a lot about my work or video games as those are currently a lot of my life focus. (School isn't that interesting.)

I've also been told that I'm quite rare in that I will actually talk to people. It's strange that I hear a lot of girls won't even give some guys the time of day. For me, I love having a conversation when I have free time so I'd love hearing from other people. I've also been told that I'm pretty good at giving advice since I do actually listen. You never know what you're missing if you just reject talking to people. I am on the shyer side sometimes though so I tend to respond more to conversation than initiate it.

Being the competitive jerk that I am, I'm probably going to fill it with mostly inane filler, because that's what repetitive inane filler is for. I am in all truthiness looking into larp, but have never done any. I go to anime and gaming cons, mostly to support friends of mine over in Texas (they're getting a tabletop gaming company off the ground, and it's bloody fun to play). I don't really enjoy long walks on the beach. I do enjoy video games, of all sorts, including rpgs, shmups, some racing, notsomuch fighting games. I play WoW regularly and CoH is trying to get me to renew my account.

I work hard not to be vain, but I have a highly fluctuating body image. Looks are highly subjective anyway, so adding in any details about mine would be redundant (especially with the picture I finally uploaded). I care less about the visuals than the mind behind them - but hygiene is fairly important. General health is important. If you do care enough about yourself to take care of your body, then I may have some idea of how you'll treat me. And health is not the same thing as being absolutely ripped or rail-thin - health is how well the systems run and is not dependent on body type.

I've seen some references to how trite and unimportant this little box is. How this little profile box can't possibly synopsize the entirety of a personality. That's missing the point. The whole point of this box - this site - is to advertise yourself. You don't put all the specs for the product in the advertisement, you put in the highlights. You put in enough information that the intended audience will want to know more about the product. And if you're highly anti-consumerist, this might also get under yer skin. Well, that almost got ranty, but it's certainly taking up space.
Why do they even have that little meter on the side? Do the other ridonkulously competitive people feel the urge to fill this up to reach 100% completion? If so, do these same people also do 100% speed runs? This would be relevant to my interests.

I am 57 years of age. I have two grown children and four grandchildren. My childrens Dad died when they were very young. I raised them alone, and feel I did a very good job. They are both hard-working, family-oriented individuals. I re-married, but it hasnt worked out (he has drug problem). I like to take care of my home and family. I enjoy gardening, dancing, reading, cooking, horse-racing, and searching for antiques. I like traveling when I can. I have worked hard all my life and want someone to take care of me now. I have a good sense of humor, and have the class and poise to handle myself in any given situation.
